The Vidarbha Innovation & Incubation Centre (VIIC) in Nagpur has graduated its largest cohort yet — 30 startups from its 2025 accelerator batch, spanning healthcare, edtech, and clean energy sectors.
Since its founding in 2019, VIIC has supported over 120 early-stage ventures, offering seed grants, mentorship from industry veterans, and access to a growing network of regional angel investors. This year's batch included a diabetic retinopathy screening startup, a vernacular-language edtech platform for rural schools, and a solar micro-grid company serving off-grid villages in Gadchiroli district.
"Vidarbha has long been seen as an agricultural belt, but we're proving it can be a serious innovation hub too," said VIIC's program director at the graduation ceremony held in Nagpur last week.
Of the 30 graduating startups, at least eight have already secured follow-on funding from Mumbai and Pune-based investors, and three have been shortlisted for the state's upcoming Startup Credit Program.
